WSSO and AAPM Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

2026-04-01

BEIJING, March 30, 2026, the World Sustainability Standard Organization (WSSO) and the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out in-depth collaboration around core areas such as green project management and the construction of sustainable development standard systems, empowering the global industrial green and low-carbon transformation through international standards.

Relying on this strategic cooperation, the first international standard for green project management in the building materials industry, jointly promoted by both parties, has successfully completed the initiation process, marking a crucial step in the standardization and internationalization of green project management in the building materials sector. This standard will focus on core contents such as the whole-life-cycle low-carbon control of building materials, green construction management, carbon footprint accounting and sustainable delivery, providing a unified framework and implementation guidelines for global building materials enterprises to carry out green project construction.

As an important international organization engaged in the formulation and promotion of sustainable development standards, WSSO has long been committed to building a unified and authoritative global sustainable development standard system. AAPM, with its professional accumulation and global practice in the field of project management, provides mature methodologies and capability support for the whole-process management of green projects. Complementing each other's advantages, the two parties will promote the in-depth integration of sustainable development concepts and project management systems.

In the future, taking this cooperation as a starting point, the two parties will continuously expand the scope of cooperation, launch standard development, talent training, industry promotion and international exchanges in more fields such as green buildings, low-carbon manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, and ESG governance. They will jointly build a green project management ecosystem covering multiple industries and the entire industrial chain, helping the implementation of global carbon neutrality goals and sustainable development agendas.
